Marine Surveying

Within the Astralship team of professional surveyors we have an experienced team expanding over more than 50 years, which enables us to per form all types of surveys for our varied clients. These include-

P+I Insurance:

Our staff are fully qualified to undertake all inspections from the respective P+I Clubs

Damage Survey:

Hull & Machinery, main deck, cargo holds and accommodation. Investigation of collisions.

On Hire/Off Hire:

On Hire or Off Hire surveys carried out on behalf of Owners or Charterers.

Pre-Purchase Inspections:

Inspection on behalf of Buyers or Sellers.

These surveys can be expanded to include Class or Flag State Control outstanding issues.

These inspections can include the relevant section of I.L.O. 2006 and the vessel’s ability to trade in certain areas.

Hatch Tests:

We can perform watertight tests on hatches either by hose or by our own ABS Certified ultrasonic hatch leak detector.

Certificate issued.

I.S.M. Audits:

Preparation for Flag State audits of ship or Documents of Compliance (D.O.C.) for the Management Office.

Consultancy:

We can supply qualified and experienced personnel capable of providing operational/technical witness statements and opinions.
